Hans Gerzlich's new cabaret program is about the things he has thought about in the waiting room of his family doctor, dermatologist, internist, cardiologist and urologist: The position of best-agers in society, the ageing of society (demographic change) and why most people with autumn-blonde hair still don't have a will.
Hans Gerzlich is horrified when he suddenly realizes that he was born in the same year as... old people. During the commercial breaks of his favorite TV show, he is no longer offered seductive aftershaves and fast sports cars, but Granufink, Voltaren and heat plasters. 50 on the outside, 20 on the inside, he asks himself, "When will life finally start?" But then the "personal pension information" arrives. The newly minted best ager has done the math: If he retires at 67, he can live quite comfortably for eleven days. That's why he's hoping for an increase in the bottle deposit.
This cabaret program will make you laugh your head off if you are 50, used to be 50 or are planning to turn 50 at some point. But beware: afterwards you will be two hours older and have a few more laugh lines.
