Hans Well & die Wellbappn

Nothing is better for a little escape after the birth of a second child than loading up the car with instruments and standing on a stage with an older gentleman. After Jonas and Tabea left their jobs (they were determined to take up a "serious" profession), Sarah Well, eldest daughter of music cabaret star Hans Well (Biermösl Blosn, Wellbappn), persuaded her father to put together a new program. With the ingenious dulcimer player and versatile musician Komalé Akakpo, the duo soon became a trio. They will perform together from April 2024. MoRo: youth mania and stubbornness. Sarah, the Wellbappn's violist, saxophonist, accordionist and soprano for 10 years, will in future be setting the lyrics, guitarist and alphorn dilettante Hans Well to music with the dulcimer virtuoso, bassist and top musician Komalé during "supervised singing". The Wellbappn guarantee poliDcally acute, witty musical cabaret and the best Bavarian SaDre in the new form as well. Well suited for consumption with beer, snacks and wine. Warning! SARAH (born 1991) initially completed the highly promising "Indology" course after school and a subsequent six-month stay in Calcu@a. After completing this subject and a looming Hartz 4 career, she decided to continue her studies in "Intercultural Communica@on", after which she worked for the Indienhilfe in Herrsching and supervised NGO projects in West Bengal (h@ps://www.indienhilfe-herrsching.de). On stage, she plays the viola, accordion, saxophone, bass ukulele and shines on the rainmaker. In addition to her young children, she looks after her elderly father on stage, whose lyrics she sets to music. She also sings even more beautifully! HANS (born 1953) grew up blameless as the 9th of 15 children. At the age of 24, he became famous for his rewriting of the Bavarian anthem as: Go@ mit Dir Du Land der BayWa. After 35 years as the author of the Biermösl Blosn, including a job writing lyrics for the Toten Hosen, fate finally condemned him to the next family band, the Wellbappn, for whose existence he is partly to blame. He plays the guitar, Styrian accordion, alphorn and tuba.

He founded the Biermösl Blosn 45 years ago with Michael and Christoph Well, and they delighted audiences for 35 years, sometimes with Dieter Hildebrandt, Jörg Hube and Gerhard Polt. Until the end of 2012, Hans Well not only wrote all of the Biermösl Blosn's texts, but also wrote joint programs with Gerhard Polt for the Kammerspiele and the Residenztheater. The Biermösl Blosn was loved (in part) or hated (by the Bavarian state government) by audiences and the press, while the Wellbappn were loved all round - except by those who didn't love them. KOMALÉ (born 1983), a Swabian exile, enjoyed the last years of the Richard Strauss Conservatory to the full and empty corridors. Since then, he has mainly been on the road as a dulcimer player for all occasions, vocational school teacher, radio producer, father, publisher and club organizer. When no one else is doing it, he also plays guitar, bass and percussion. Does almost everything, but nothing clever. With the Lanzinger Trio, he has already won over a Swabian audience with an affinity for string music and now wants to try it out away from home until his final deportation from Upper Bavaria.
