Since the late 70s, when bands like The Chosen Few and Rowland S. Howard conquered the stages, Melbourne, known as Naarm, has cultivated an unwavering tradition of punk rock. The band is bringing this exciting era into the 21st century and injecting new life into the scene.
Formed during the COVID lockdown, Split System seemingly came out of nowhere, uniting musicians from Stiff Richards, Bad//Dreems and No Zu. It sounds like they've spent years partying over beers to the sounds of Saints and Radio Birdman. Their sound is a powerful blend of hard-hitting street punk and catchy rock hooks that has captured the hearts of music lovers worldwide.
In their still short band history, Split System has already proven their talent by performing with renowned artists such as Amyl & The Sniffers, The Murlocs and C.O.F.F.I.N. and thrilling fans with their captivating stage presence.
In 2023, the band ventured abroad and delivered loud, rowdy and energetic performances in Europe, including sold-out shows at Binic Folks Blues Festival and Get Lost Fest. Their momentum shows no sign of slowing down - they'll be on stage at the legendary Golden Plains Festival in 2024!
