Harbour Violet is literally a haven of real-life stories about personal experiences, self-fi ndings and plot twists, which musician Jana skillfully dresses in a robe of groovy guitars and charismatic vocals. Together with her live band, she transforms every concert into a dazzling journey through funky pop landscapes and the odd jazz oasis, while soul greats such as Allen Stone or Lake Street Dive play on repeat on the car radio. Her music can be described as a poppy mixture of funk, soul and jazz influences, and Harbour Violet never tires of expanding her musical horizons. This can be clearly heard on her first EP entitled "Crying in a Sparkly Dress", which was created in collaboration with producer Adam Basedow and released on 17.12.2021: while the singer-songwriter sings about fundamental questions of identity, funky guitars meet electrifying synths with an 80s touch that leave no dance muscle untouched. On December 17, 2023, exactly two years later, Harbour Violet released the live EP "The Elevate Sessions", a snapshot of her artistic development into an experienced musician and songwriter, which is supported by the new, authentic sound of her three-piece band consisting of Philipp Dohse (bass), Lasse Schley (keys) and Janik Noltenius (drums). "The Elevate Sessions" are three songs full of groove, expressive vocals and inspiring lyrics that reflect the unmistakable sound of Harbour Violet and seamlessly blend influences from soul, funk and modern arrangements into a unique tapestry of sound.

withBesteck

mitBesteck are five young musicians who came together through their jazz studies at the Hanover University of Music. The name may come across as tongue-in-cheek, but their music goes deep. Between German indie pop and jazzy influences, they create a sound that is danceable and melancholy at the same time. In their songs, mitBesteck deal with the challenges and questions of a generation navigating between self-doubt, the search for identity and interpersonal conflicts. Sometimes driving, sometimes thoughtful - but always rousing and authentic. With vocals, guitar, piano, bass and drums, the band brings their thoughts and emotions to the stage - sometimes questioning, sometimes demanding, but always honest. If you like indie pop with depth and a pinch of jazz, you won't be able to get past mitBesteck.
