Harold – Transforming structure to soul - Workshop mit Jens Wienand

The Harold is one of the oldest legendary long-form improvisational theater formats. Developed in Chicago on stages such as the famous iO Theater, it is known for its fun and playfulness - but also sometimes difficult to master. When does the 2nd beat start? How does the opening affect the Groupgames? What is an invocation? And what do all these words mean?
In this workshop, we take a closer look at the possibilities we have when riding the wave of the show. We will play with all the possibilities that a "game" can bring to a show and see how strong our team spirit can take us to the next step.
A workshop for those who know how a scene works and are looking for the next step to make a show more meaningful. Even if we play fast, let's not waste any ingredients we have! And to end with a food metaphor: If you sometimes feel like improv is junk food: try the Harold. Harold: Healthy for you - and your team!

Jens Wienand from Mannheim started bringing improvisation and comedy to the stage 16 years ago and is the founder of Improtheater Mannheim. He studied at iO Chicago, Annoyence, UCB and is known for his sometimes nerdy view of things and a great grilled cheese sandwich.
Besides improv, he is interested in personal development, breathwork, mediation and board games.
