"Hattori Hanzi" is a unique instrumental band from Munich that has made a name for itself worldwide in the underground scene after more than 10 years of collaboration. The trio's core consists of the legendary "Hammond B3" organ (Hansi Enzensperger), drums (Manfred Mildenberger) and bass (Igor Kljujic). The band is by no means lacking in vocals, as the music itself plays the main role.

Blues, strong grooves and jazz lines are definitely included in the repertoire, but that is by no means enough to describe the music of this highly energetic formation. The intuitive and spontaneous interplay between the musicians plays a large part, creating impressive tension and constantly providing new surprises and random catchy tunes. Another factor is the "sound", which is why the musicians draw on an impressive collection of rare synthesizers and analog sound generators from the 60s to 80s.

The unconventional and sometimes alienated use of these instruments often moves the music surprisingly into new sound collages and helps it to free itself completely from genre pigeonholes. The strong interaction between the musicians and their ability to collectively shape minute-long improvisations make each of their concerts an experience.
