In a flashback to decades of artistic work, Heide Duwe is showing 149 works from various work groups in the rooms of the gallery.

The artist has put together a multi-layered combination of drawings, collages and photographs in her own formal language.

Beginning with the central motif of the work group "Dragonfly Wings", traces of flying dragonflies flicker on an installation of twelve drawings with acrylic paint on watercolor cardboard. In a second focus, Heide Duwe places pastel drawings from the 1990s in a dialog with ink drawings and graphic prints on the theme of "Landscape" from 2016 - 2020.

Diverse contrasts, but also connecting elements in motifs, colorfulness and graphic elements are intended to lead the viewer on paths of interpretation.

Drawings, collages and prints are complemented by photos of a wide variety of subjects. In her artistic life, Heide Duwe has used photography to record observations, to document transient phenomena and to preserve spontaneous sensory impressions.
