Two outstanding song composers of their generation - long-time regulars in Heidelberg - delve deep into Franz Schubert's final creative years. To mark the anniversary of the composer's death in 2028, they have launched the "Schubert 200" project. The second of a total of five programs, which will also be released on CD, deals with the years 1824/25, when the restlessly productive Viennese master experienced an existential personal crisis in his late 20s - and finally celebrated artistic success: "Light and Shadow". The extremes are also directly juxtaposed in the stirring songs of this period.
