The Bavarian folk poet Ludwig Thoma wrote this timeless story about the Child of God in 1916 at Lake Tegernsee in his native dialect and set it in the local rural region.

The Munich pastor Schießler, known for his unconventional sermons, takes on these lyrical Bavarian verses and provides a contemplative devotion of a different kind outside his city church during Advent. The original Heilig-Nacht chants by Ludwig Thoma, which are performed authentically and movingly by the Siferlinger siblings and Matthias Pürner on the "Ziach", are a fitting accompaniment. Everyone immediately senses that Christmas is coming...
