Heines Lyrik als Lichtobjekt – Schreibperformance mit Wolfgang Vetten

In the organizer's words:

Lines, rhythms, traces of color - how does the experience of poetry change when it permeates the space? In the writing performance by artist Wolfgang Vetten, words from Heinrich Heine's "Harzreise" become multi-layered objects of color and light. The physicality of the writing process becomes tangible in all its intensity and opens up a sensual level of perception of poetry for visitors. Visitors are invited to wander through the space to observe the creative process from different angles. A discussion between the artist and Nadine Hoffmann (Heinrich Heine Institute) about the performance and Vetten's work will conclude the evening.

Wolfgang Vetten lives and works near Düsseldorf. He completed his studies at the State Academy of Art under professors Rolf Sackenheim and Rolf Crummenauer. In his pictorial works, actions, site-specific installations, sculptures and architectural interventions, he explores the ephemeral character and rhythm of his own handwriting, among other things.
