HEISSKALT

HEISSKALT is not a band that just appears out of nowhere. Singer and guitarist Mathias Bloech and drummer Marius Bornmann played together in the band "On Top Of The Avalanche". "We were exploring experimental post-hardcore progressive notes," recalls Marius Bornmann, "the bars had to be as crooked as possible and it was full on the face." Bassist Lucas Mayer and guitarist Philipp Koch, on the other hand, are part of the band "Big Spin". "Our flag also flutters in the post-hardcore wind, but not quite as twisted," Philipp Koch looks back. But as it happens, school comes to an end and school bands do break up at some point. A fate shared by "On Top Of The Avalanche". But the aforementioned four Stuttgart natives really wanted to know what they were doing, so they launched HEISSKALT together and rehearsed for the first time in the fall of 2010. And HEISSKALT were able to remain authentic and record a loud, powerful and straightforward debut with "Vom Stehen und Fallen". "A band like us could only do this because we recorded it live without any ifs and buts," continues Philipp Koch, "we wanted to give the audience all of our energy. Energy that simply comes from four guys making music. No more, but also no less." On "Vom Stehen und Fallen", HEISSKALT make full use of the sovereignty of their many years of band experience. Full of firepower and without any unnatural polish, the music is deeply felt and sensed. Always deeply human. Without air bubbles. Without glorification. "Why shouldn't someone who is human in normal life also be allowed to be human with an instrument around their neck?" asks Mathias Bloech, "which is why we offer nothing more than questions. Because we don't know the valid answers either. But it is precisely this lack of knowledge that we share with the audience." That's the recipe for success! You will either love or hate HEISSKALT, there is nothing in between! And that's a good thing, because who wants a life in the gray area?
