Helicopter is a high-energy trio that soars at the crossroads of jazz, punk, free improvisation, and raw sonic chaos. Featuring Peter Van Huffel (saxophones), Roland Fidezius (bass), and Simon Camatta (drums), the band fuses Berlin's underground fire with the dynamic creative scene of western Germany's NRW region.

Born from a spontaneous meeting at the Rabbit Hole Theater (Essen) in January 2023, Helicopter is an explosive collision of melody, noise, groove, and fearless improvisation. With Peter and Roland-longtime co-conspirators in the thrash-jazz trio Gorilla Mask-pushing their sound into uncharted sonic terrain, and Simon, a driving force in NRW's avant-garde scene, injecting his distinctive rhythmic intensity, the result is an unpredictable ride-sometimes turbulent, always electrifying.
