Hello atmosphere,
Tell me how you're doing
And how long you'll live
And when you're gone, will we be gone too
Or will NASA rebuild you

Somewhere in the middle of nowhere, a children's choir is singing for us. The children are worried. They are angry. And they ask us questions. "Hello atmosphere, tell me how you are and how long you will live?" Dear adults, do you have an answer here? And are you brave enough to sing them?

What moves children when they think about climate change? And how do they look at their parents and other adults? In 2016, Dutch artist Liesbet Swings, composer Keimpe de Jong and six children developed a requiem to answer these questions. In 2025, the TDJW takes up this sung intergenerational conflict and develops it further with the two artists and Leipzig children. What do children in Leipzig think about climate change today? What are they singing to the adults in 2025? And are the adults prepared to listen and respond?

At the end of the season, the TDJW is collaborating with Theater Artemis, which challenges children with its humorous and radical approaches and pushes not only adults but also the theater to its limits. The Dutch company was the first theater for young audiences to be awarded the Silver Lion at the Venice Biennale and the ITI Theater Prize.
