HELLSEATIC Festival 2024

In the organizer's words:

The HELLSEATIC Festival will take place on September 6 and 7, 2024 in cooperation with the Kulturzentrum Schlachthof in the center of Bremen. We are planning to take over all playable rooms - the Kesselhalle, the Magazinkeller and more - as well as the outdoor area for two days and immerse them in a dark atmosphere. We are working flat out on a musically diverse line-up and a varied supporting program.

HEAVY MUSIC ODYSSEY
From doom, post-metal and avant-garde metal to hardcore, grind and punk to post-rock and experimental electronic formats - our focus is on dark, atmospheric, avant-garde music that carries a certain heaviness, obvious or subtle. We bring together talented, unknown and ambitious artists with internationally established acts from the field of "heavy music".

ABOUT:

HELLSEATIC was founded at the end of 2019 by a collective of musicians and organizers from Bremen to finally give fans of hard and extreme music in the Hanseatic city and beyond the festival they deserve. Originally planned for September 2020, then postponed twice, the first HELLSEATIC Open Air Festival took place in September 2021 on the grounds of Bremen's Woll-Kämmerei in Blumenthal. Despite the pandemic, the team managed to hold a safe and distancing-free event for up to 1000 visitors.
At the second edition in 2022, Motorpsycho, Mantar, Crisix, The Ocean Collective, Der Weg einer Freiheit and Konvent, among others, took to the stage. Camping, a supporting program and a second small "side stage" with more experimental and genre-diverse bands ensured a varied weekend between industrial ruins from the Wilhelminian era.
A rather atypical genre festival for music lovers with a view beyond the horizon.

HELLSEATIC sees itself as a festival for all fans of hard and extreme music. Tolerance, solidarity, inclusion and social interaction are important to the organizers. The festival grounds are designed to be barrier-free in order to provide all visitors with an unforgettable festival experience. At the same time, any kind of exclusion such as racism, fascism, sexism or trans- and homophobia will not be tolerated.
