Pure Finland

If any orchestra has the music of Sibelius in its blood, it is the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra: the orchestra has performed almost all of the Finnish national composer's symphonic works and made a decisive contribution to his international fame on tour. The first symphony in particular is therefore an absolute home game. Jukka-Pekka Saraste and Pekka Kuusisto, also two top Finnish musicians, are at the conductor's desk and as solo violinists.
