Hendrik Meurkens Quartett

Hendrik Meurkens has lived in New York since 1992. He has toured with the Ray Brown Trio and the Concord All Stars in Japan, has been invited to most of the major festivals and can be heard constantly in New York jazz clubs. His quartet played the opening night of the new Birdland Jazzclub, for example. Hendrik Meurkens is regularly listed in the Downbeat and Jazz Times Polls as one of the leading jazz harmonica players and vibraphonists.
He is accompanied in Europe by his quartet with Martn Sasse (piano), Walfried Böcker (double bass) and Joost van Schaik (drums).
The quartet's repertoire includes jazz standards, subtle ballads, Brazilian jazz and original compositions.
