Every year on September 30 - the feast day of St. Jerome, who translated the Old and New Testaments from Hebrew and Greek into spoken Latin - literary translators around the world celebrate themselves and their profession with a rich harvest of the most beautiful new translations published this autumn. This year, Silke Kleemann, Brigitte Korn-Wimmer, Ursula C. Sturm and Henriette Zeltner present works from Spanish, Italian and English and talk about the highs and lows of their work, word-finding triumphs and dealing with editors and authors. But above all: the joy of the finished book.
