The trio HERZOG | MUCHE | NILLESEN creates music on the borderlines of advanced forms of experimental music. In the current project, the trio meets a musical soulmate: the Lucerne-based tenor saxophonist Silke Strahl.
Together they play visionary, controversial and adventurous music that finds its own language in the intersections of new music, jazz and improvisation. Their works are original, poetic, profound and characterized by a palpable presence. The musicians elicit sounds from their instruments that move beyond traditional playing styles. Behind every crackle, every movement and every overtone lies an invitation to the audience to immerse themselves in multi-layered sonic perceptions. From intimate simplicity to expansive soundscapes - the dynamics, form and tonality of the music flow organically into one another and create a sonic experience that leaves room for the listener's own perceptions.
