About the content of the play:

"If I stay alive, if they don't kill me, I will, until the last hypocrite is dead."

One night, the pastor of the small village of Salem discovers his daughter Betty, his niece Abigail and other young girls performing strange dances and occult rituals in the woods. The next morning, his daughter is in a strange state and unresponsive. At the end of the 17th century, there is only one explanation for this: the devil must be involved. A veritable witch craze breaks out in the village as the girls begin to defiantly accuse countless people of witchcraft. The longer they carry on with their actions, the more they get carried away with their visions. Only those who admit their guilt are pardoned. Those who steadfastly deny are executed.

After three productions, eleven sold-out performances and over 2,300 visitors, toca presents a new, thrilling production by Clemens Brill that makes the eerie lines of the historical events of the Salem witch trials visible right up to the present day.
