HfK Jazzclub: Boyke Dettmers Quartett feat Yevgeniy Kurmov

Boyke Dettmers (vibraphone) has performed with renowned greats of the European jazz scene such as Herb Geller, Wolfgang Schlüter and Charlie Antolini and has taken part in productions by Radio Bremen, the Goethe Theater in Bremen, the NDR in Hanover and Hamburg, among others. His long-time companions Rolf Stünkel (piano), Karl-Heinz Viola (double bass) and Wolf Grezesch (drums) round off the quartet.

Yevgeniy Kuzmov from the Ukraine (tenor saxophone) sweeps everyone away with his irrepressible joy of playing. The five celebrate swinging jazz. Their congenial line-up with tenor saxophone, vibraphone, piano, bass and drums is unparalleled and arouses curiosity.

The "hfk jazzclub" is the venue for contemporary jazz in Bremen. Concerts and sessions with musicians from the university and local and national musicians take place every Tuesday of the semester at 9 pm in the cellar vault of the University of Music. Passionate jamming takes place here, or student tryout programs are presented. Semester projects by the Rehearsal Band and themed concert programs are also offered. In short: a think tank for jazz and a meeting place for Bremen's jazz scene.
