Fans and culture freaks know: HGich.T have crossed the Easter bunny with Santa Claus in the experimental laboratory. The Hamburg electro-performance collective led by DJ Hundefriedhof has been touring continuously since it was founded in 1995. Hundreds of gigs in front of 100,000s of excited and a few amazed spectators. Their shows are legendary. On three: put on your builder's vest, switch on the black light and turn the system up to maximum. Because HGich.T, the spearhead of electronic hair-raising concepts, will be pulling the wool over their audience's eyes on their "Lenovobeach" tour. So what? That's right, shoo, shoo to HGich.T - and let's throw everyday life in the garbage can.

The crazy plan to let the AI do all the work for the album this time failed. In the end, HGich.T had to do it themselves again. Fortunately. "Lenovobeach", the eighth studio album by the Hamburg music collective, sounds like the tender embrace of a drugged-up mother. The idea of letting ChatGPT do all the lyrics and sound work this season for a change and gradually replacing the entire band with avatars was a sweet one (keyword: work-life balance), but in the end DJ Hundefriedhof, Tutenchamun, Dr. Geilser, Nora Hardstyle, Katze Cozy, DJ Balmi, the beautiful Maike, Fosserill, 12Fingermann, Professor Suspect, Opa16 and the rest of the cuddly gang preferred to make sure that even 14 years after the release of the uber-hit "Hauptschuhle", the hammer bangs like twenty buzkashi whips.

"Lenovobeach" was produced with a lot of love in seven magical nights in a Portuguese beach cave and entices with life-affirming rave anthems ("Geistig am Start"), ecstatic stomping announcements "("UDO"), disturbing cuddle hits ("Merci Cherie"), socially critical bangers ("Saufe") and the new summer hit "Lenovobeach". Robust and timeless like an old Lenovo, the keyboard ballad "Die schwarze Gitarre" ("The Black Guitar") comes across in a swaying Graf-Zahl style. The lyrics come from an old diary by Dr. Geilser. The cream of the new record is a hymn of praise to an important everyday object: the "adapter", which not only has radio stations licking their fingers, but has also inspired "Die Gebrüder Brett" to create a fat remix. Play tip: "Geistig am Start" hypnotizes with sweet opera vocals (Nora Hardstyle), Portuguese chants and disturbingly melodic Pied Piper of Hamelin vibes, served on a hard-hitting dog graveyard board that is second to none.
