Soccer fans from all over Germany will be looking to Cologne on Sunday, March 9, 2025: At 2 p.m., the FC women will welcome German champions FC Bayern Munich to the RheinEnergieSTADION and turn a cherished tradition into a custom in their third highlight match in Müngersdorf.

"With the FC Bayern women's team, we are welcoming the reigning German champions and are hoping for a soccer festival. For our FC women, it's a huge and wonderful sporting challenge to compete with the best in front of what we hope will once again be a very large crowd," says FC Managing Director Christian Keller.

"According to a Cologne saying, we try something out the first time, the second time it becomes a tradition and the third time it becomes a custom. The special atmosphere at our two previous highlight matches has made positive headlines both nationally and internationally. The highlight matches were special experiences for our players and fans. This time we want to go one better in every respect with the support of our partners," says Nicole Bender-Rummler, Head of Women's & Girls' Football at FC.

Giulia Gwinn, Pernille Harder, Lea Schüller, Georgia Stanway - Bayern are coming to Cologne with a star ensemble. In the first leg on matchday 5 of the Google Pixel Women's Bundesliga, the FC women only lost 1-0 to the German champions after a strong performance.

The third edition of the highlight match will once again offer a great spectacle, embedded in an attractive supporting program for families with great music bands. After the successful premiere in the RheinEnergieSTADION against Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023 with an unbroken attendance record of 38,365 fans, 30,123 soccer fans came to the 2:1 home win against Werder Bremen one year later. For the third match in Müngersdorf, the Kölsche Mädche are once again expecting a breathtaking crowd.

Tickets are now available in the online ticket store of 1. FC Köln. Tickets are available in six price categories ranging from 7 euros in the standing area (concessions 5 euros) to 25 euros in the best seating category.
