In the organizer's words:

The Herdmann children are the worst of all time - they steal, annoy the neighbors, lie and are generally impossible. Of all people, these children have now usurped the leading roles in the Christmas nativity play, even though they don't even know the Christmas story. Everyone is expecting the worst performance ever. But things turn out differently - the Herdmanns' view of the events at the nativity scene turns the nativity play into a very special, different performance. Let yourself be surprised.
