Spanish indie rock band on the road with fourth album "VIVA HINDS"

The ever-popular Spanish indie rockers Hinds have just announced their triumphant fourth album entitled "VIVA HINDS" and have already released the first single "Boom Boom Back", which they co-wrote with Beck. Shortly after their debut ten years ago, the band encountered a seemingly insurmountable obstacle - they had to change their name from Deers to Hinds for legal reasons. But as their fans greeted them with "¡VIVA HINDS!" at their gigs, the band quickly realized that what initially felt like an end was actually just the beginning. Fast forward to 2023, and "VIVA HINDS" was written by co-founders, co-vocalists, co-guitarists and co-songwriters Carlotta Cosials and Ana Perrote after a series of endings.

After the release of their album "The Prettiest Curse" in 2020, they fell into a creative rut, and bassist and drummer decided to leave the band. They also parted ways with their management, lost income from touring due to pandemic-related lockdowns and found themselves without a label for the first time. But when Perrote and Cosials reunited to write new music, it became clear that their bond, so special that they describe themselves as "millionaires in friendship", would be all they needed to get through it. "VIVA HINDS" - the most accomplished, sonically adventurous, honest and celebratory record of Hinds' career - is just the beginning.

"VIVA HINDS," which features the band's first-ever Spanish-language songs as well as collaborations with artists like Beck and Grian Chatten of Fontaines D.C., will be released on September 6 via Lucky Number. Recorded in France, the album was produced by Pete Robertson (Beabadoobee) and GRAMMY-nominated Tom Roach and mixed by GRAMMY-winning engineer Caesar Edmunds (The Killers, Wet Leg).

The energy at a Hinds show is always palpable, with "VIVA HINDS" they have created the most successful album of their career, one that celebrates their shared history and confirms that the band is "in it fort he long run"!
