Waiblingen, Rems-Murr-Kreis - On August 1, 2025, the Kulturhaus Schwanen will be all about bellies, legs and brains: HISS, the five-piece cult band, invites you to the summer open air on the Schwaneninsel. With an incomparable mix of polka, rock'n'roll, Texas tango and taiga twist, the evening promises musical adventures between dirt and greasepaint.

Anyone who knows HISS knows that this is no ordinary band on stage.
They have covered hundreds of thousands of miles, traveled first and third class, on special trains and on soul sellers. They have performed in pubs and churches, in halls and dives, at weddings and funerals. They played wild tunes and thoughtful ballads all over the world. They caroused in Zaragoza, partied in Fort Worth and fought in Casablanca. They slept in grand hotels and flats, in hammocks and waterbeds, on down and on straw. They argued and made up, thought they were lost, but always found their way home and back to themselves, even in foreign lands.

Frontman Stefan Hiss manages to captivate the audience at every concert with his charismatic and humorous style. Their pitch-black, ironic and cynical lyrics, paired with catchy melodies, make every HISS concert an unforgettable experience.

With over 2798 concerts worldwide and a loyal fan base that has accompanied them from Zaragoza to Casablanca, the band has been convincing audiences for over 25 years with their unique blend of waltz, blues, folk and ska.

They playfully spice up their music with Irish, Arabic, country and Latin influences - always spiced up with a good pinch of humor and self-irony.
