Historisches Schlossfest

In the organizer's words:

The grand procession begins at 10 a.m. at the main station with the reception of the Grand Duke in the Fürstenzimmer. Accompanied by music, the court parades through the city center. After a stopover on the market square with historical dances, it continues on its way to the palace.

Here you can immerse yourself in life at the court of Grand Duke Friedrich Franz II, take part in an audience, watch court ladies dress and do their hair or find out how people got into conversation with fans. You can also experience courtly dances, a fashion show, various guided tours and concerts as well as historical games for children in the castle garden. The scenery will be accompanied by members of the castle association in historical costumes from the 19th century.

Your entrance fees and other donations from this year's Historical Castle Festival will support the current project of the Friends of Schwerin Castle Association.
