He brings a Hollywood atmosphere to Germany: Steven Gätjen. The film and cinema specialist is known for his commentary on the Oscars, which he describes as follows: "The atmosphere on the red carpet is insane. Flashbulbs, voices and Hollywood stars". So it couldn't be any other way for Gätjen to host the "Hollywood in Munich" concert evening and garnish it with impressions and anecdotes from the Hollywood dream factory. Because atmosphere and music - they belong inseparably together and there are movie scenes that everyone can immediately picture when the music is played - the melody and images are so intensely etched in our collective memory. It is often the composers who help a film achieve immortality - with melodic ideas and an unerring sense of emotion and drama.
