Hollywood on Air

In the organizer's words:

"My friend Harvey"
Live radio play based on the Hollywood classic with James Stewart

There are two ways to get through life well, either you're very clever or very kind. I used to be very clever, now I'm very kind."

Elwood Dowd - the main character - is a steadfastly amiable middle-aged loner who carries a companion called Harvey with him wherever he goes. The only problem is that Harvey is a 2-meter-tall white rabbit who is invisible to everyone except Elwood. This circumstance results in a fast-paced, incredibly funny game of trials and tribulations, which, however, has a very philosophical core at its core. For "Harvey" is a Hollywoodesque variation on the age-old motif of the fool who - without knowing it - calls the wisdom of life his own and thus liberates the world from its wickedness.

Hollywood on Air: Live radio plays from the Golden Days of Radio

"Hollywood on Air" is a journey back in time to the 1930s and 1940s, when radio was in its heyday in America. Back then, almost all Hollywood stars also appeared in the radio play versions of their films - live on a theater stage, while at the same time an audience of millions listened to the radio receivers. Our live radio play productions continue this tradition. Four actors who take on all the roles, an inventive foley artist and a musician realize the most exciting head cinema based on legendary Hollywood classics of film history. And we take the journey back in time to 1950 seriously and do without any electronic-digital support. This means that everything you see (and above all hear) is "handmade".
