What happens to the food we digest after it has left our bodies? Is it disposed of as waste or can it be reused as a valuable resource? The documentary "Holy Shit - Saving the world with Sch#!$e" explores these questions. It questions why we do not use these resources - and how this could increase global food security, protect the environment and even combat climate change.

The socio-ecological transformation is one of the most important social projects. The agricultural and nutrient turnaround are among the forgotten transformations of recent decades. What political and social course must be set for this? What are the challenges involved? What potential does this hold for an industrialized state like NRW? And how can citizens, scientific practice and politics contribute to this?

We cordially invite you to watch the film together and then discuss the transformative potential of sanitation systems for a sustainable future.
