HOME IS THE OCEAN - Hamburg: Premiere mit Gästen

A family of eight has found its home in the infinity of the sea. For 25 years, climatologist Dario Schwörer and his wife Sabine have been sailing the world's oceans with their children. Together they give lectures, fish plastic out of the sea with schools and take water samples. There is no privacy, every crew member has to take responsibility. But the children's growing up brings new challenges and doubts. A long-term portrait spanning seven years between continents, in which the conventional norms of upbringing, education, home and security are called into question. Until a storm forces the Schwörers to rethink their life decisions and family constellation.
