Amira Medunjanin's voice carries the emotion and power of Sevdah, the traditional music of Bosnia and Herzegovina, into your ears and souls. Her new album "Homeland" explores the deeper layers of Sevdah and the musical heritage of the Balkans in her unique style. At Keuning.haus you can experience her in an intimate "back to roots" atmosphere together with Antonio Vrbički on accordion.

Bosnian author and poet Miljenko Jergović says of her music: "My home is actually in Amira Medunjanin's voice - and in the loudspeakers of my car, which drives fast and never stops. [...] There is no political program in it, no logic of social life. Only the logic of the song, in which her voice determines the measure of the world. The voice determines the truth. And then it sounds comfortingly sad.
