House Royal Party

In the organizer's words:

House music owes its name to the legendary warehouse club in Chicago, where a new, more electronic sound developed from disco in the late 1970s - house music was born. At almost the same time, the harder, more mechanical style of "techno" emerged in Detroit under the influence of Chicago house and European electro (e.g. Kraftwerk).

In the late 1980s, house and techno spread throughout Europe, particularly in Frankfurt and Berlin - and also in Münster. In 1995, Dockland opened there, which became one of the most renowned house clubs in Germany. After its closure in 2004, the scene lives on with the Fusion Club and the Docklands Festival, which still brings international star DJs such as Solomun to Münster.

Our headliners for the first House Royale party are none other than former Docklands and current Fusion Club and Docklands Festival residents Khetama & Cutmaster Jay - Münster legends who have played countless gigs in top clubs in Münster, Germany and worldwide over decades and have numerous releases, including on the "Boundless Records" label run by Khetama and Jens Lissat. There will also be a warm-up by Wohlklang and a closing set by Arisu.
