With productions from Hubertus' pen, the Hamburg music cabaret duo Bo Doerek (with Alexandra Doerk) achieved cult status not only in Hamburg's Schmidt Theatres. After the duo split up, Hubertus wrote countless scripts for TV series and remained loyal to the theater with various projects. He is now one of Rowohlt Verlag's most successful authors with his thriller series about the veteran chief inspector Franka Erdmann and her young assistant Alpay Eloğlu.
