silent green presents
Istanbul-born, Berlin-based composer and sound artist Hüma Utku explores how sound textures and rhythm can be used to create a sense of the archaic in modern electronic music. She uses field recordings, acoustic instruments and deep textures, transforming them into harmonic noise and harsh, ritualistic rhythms to tell stories. // Andrew Black, aka blackbody_radiation, has a keen sense of space and the acoustics associated with it and focuses on the manipulation of field recordings. His debut album Ultra-Materials contains six ghostly drones that give an insight into Black's highly sensitive minimalism.
