HundertPro Festival Vol. 6.1 - 2025

Due to water damage, the HundertPro Festival Vol. 6 had to be canceled at short notice last summer. After a small update, it will now take place on April 12, 2025: The Hundertpro Festival Vol.6.1

At the end of August 2024, after months of collective work and in anticipation of the festival day with the audience and artists, the festival literally "fell through" after a burst water pipe.

Yet festivals like the HundertPro are needed - probably more than ever!

Culture and the independent scene in particular are currently experiencing massive cuts that threaten their continued existence in their current form. Social values such as equality, participation and inclusion are being called into question.
Society seems to be becoming more and more divided.

The HundertPro Festival shows the strength and diversity of the independent scene in NRW and beyond. It gives newcomers from the fields of theater, dance and performance and their productions a stage and amplifies voices that are underrepresented in society. At the HundertPro Festival, the audience encounters topics on stage that are not always comfortable, but all the more relevant.

The HundertPro Festival emphasizes the power of community and the coexistence of diverse identities. Founded as a "post-migrant" festival, the sixth edition will continue to explore questions of identity politics, present (post-)migrant biographies on stage and address experiences of racism. Nevertheless, the festival has evolved.
Further topics have been added: Queerness in various facets is to be celebrated on stage, mental illness is to be de-tabooed, internalized violence is to be overcome, social norms are to be questioned and generational conflicts are to be addressed.

What is special about the sixth edition (6.1): It wasn't just the dramaturges at Ringlokschuppen Ruhr who selected what will be shown in the festival's program. A cross-departmental team has collectively selected 8 productions from almost 300 applications, which will be presented on the stages of the Ringlokschuppen Ruhr on April 12, 2025:
