Avril is a passionate lawyer who keeps landing hopeless cases. As her boss is already threatening to fire her, she vows to win her next case. But then the desperate Dariuch appears in her office with his faithful dog Cosmos. The four-legged friend has bitten three people and is to be put down. The chances of acquittal are nil, but one look into Cosmos' sad eyes makes Avril forget her good intentions. She wants to save her shaggy client by any means necessary and throws herself into the work. The case quickly spreads. When the press gets involved alongside dog psychologists, lawyers, animal rights activists and politicians, the case threatens to get completely out of hand.

Lætitia Dosch's brilliant feature film debut is an emotional rollercoaster ride full of absurdly funny and deeply moving moments. In the leading role of her comedy, which is as original as it is enigmatic, she herself inspires alongside a cast that performs brilliantly throughout - above all the charismatic Kodi as the four-legged defendant. The film received the Palm Dog Award at the Cannes Film Festival, where it celebrated its world premiere in 2024.
