The US indie folk musician comes to Germany for his first headline shows

Turning on a Hunter Metts song is like entering a colorful, cathartic world made just for two. His gentle sound between indie-folk, singer-songwriter and subtle Americana vibes is as cozy and soft as it is ethereal and soothing, speaking from the heart of the musician and producer who finds his greatest value of artistic self-expression in authenticity. With the soulful song "Weathervane", Hunter Metts achieved his greatest success to date at the end of 2024, which made him known worldwide for his intimate sound after the release of his debut EP "Monochrome". In February, the musician supported David Kushner in Cologne and Berlin and impressed with his soulful folk ballads. Now it's time for his own headline tour through Europe. In early fall, Hunter Metts will perform at the world-famous Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg and also play three headline shows in Cologne, Berlin and Munich.

Born into a family of musicians in Nashville, Tennessee, Hunter Metts began learning to play various instruments at an early age and was inspired by experimental folk artists such as Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes. With further influences from The Paper Kites, Gregory Alan Isakov and Lord Huron, Metts' vision of exploring his individual folk identity with his own voice emerged. In 2021, the singer-songwriter debuted with his single "The River" and celebrated his first successes with further singles. In 2022, it was the track "Open" that gave him further confidence to pursue a serious career as a musician and break away from the 9-to-5 model after successful streaming calls. In 2023, he consequently quit his day job, signed a label deal and focused entirely on music, which quickly paid off. After the successful single "Paper Moon" (2023) and further single releases, his long-awaited debut EP "Monochrome" was released in June 2024. In November 2024, Hunter Mett's career took another leap forward with the release of his single "Weathervane". The track, which thematically deals with the positive aspects of honest love, became his most successful release to date with over 33 million streams on Spotify since its release. The song reflects the deep, intimate feelings that make Hunter Mett's music so approachable and understandable. Also because the musician doesn't write songs to be included in playlists. For him, his music is pure, unfiltered self-expression. "This is what I want to say, this is how I want to say it. I hope people can identify with it, but at the same time it's not created just for that."
