HYPER

In the organizer's words:

In HYPER, cindy+cate tackles the question of why global crises are still perceived as future, even though all the facts indicate that we are right in the middle of it: Apocalypse now!

We are living in times of multiple crises and yet the downfall feels strangely unspectacular. There is no big bang: Pandemic as boredom, climate crisis as the occasional flood, fascism as a drizzle. We know that the world is coming to an end - but the waves always seem to be just far enough away from us. At the same time, we see a recurring outcry that leads to and connects with a never-ending political inertia.

cindy+cate is an eight-member performance collective based in Braunschweig. Since 2020, they have been developing (stage) performances that they see as artistic and political work.
