A self-proclaimed executioner takes delinquents to task on camera who, in his opinion, are treated far too laxly by the state and set free (too soon). The brutal murderer thus becomes the hero of those who allow themselves to be incited by populist online influencers. This doesn't make it any easier for Seo Do-cheol and his team of investigators: who is a free rider here? And who is the real, frighteningly cunning killer? Seo is assisted by newcomer Park Sun-woo. The hotshot quickly catches the eye with his effective martial arts skills - and his penchant for excessive violence.

From the opening sequence to the showdown, I, THE EXECUTIONER keeps up an enormously fast pace and thrills with uniquely staged over-the-top action scenes that are painful to watch. The ambiguous, twist-filled story raises highly controversial questions, while the interspersed humor excursions allow you to take a quick breath - until it all comes crashing down again.
