Ian Fisher left his home state of Missouri when he was twenty one to roam the streets of Europe for fifteen years. His music, which Rolling Stone calls "Half Americana & Half Abbey Road-Worthy Pop", mixes his rural Midwestern upbringing with a delicacy shaped by his time abroad. Simple, yet emotionally complex, he has the acoustic grit of an early Jeff Tweedy with a sentimental pen ready to strike a'la Townes Van Zandt. Fisher has written two thousand songs and performed them at a thousand shows around Europe, Africa, and North America. He lives between Toronto, Vienna, and his family farm. Ian Fisher will be performing his newest record, Go Gentle, on tour in 2025 together with Jonas David (keys & percussion), Johanna Seitinger (backing vocals & bass), and Richard Case (pedal steel guitar).
