ICAN-Workshop Nukipedia: Atomwaffen und die Klimakrise

In the organizer's words:

Workshop in Berlin: Become an ambassador for a fairer and safer world!

Are you interested in learning more about the links between the climate crisis and nuclear weapons and taking action yourself? Then our two-day Nukipedia workshop is just the thing for you!

We live in a time in which the effects of climate change are becoming more and more noticeable - from heat waves to floods. At the same time, nuclear weapons pose another existential threat. A nuclear war would dramatically exacerbate the climate crisis, and even the production of these weapons causes enormous social and ecological damage, especially in the Global South.

Our workshop brings together experts from all over the world and young people like you to take an in-depth look at the topics of nuclear disarmament, climate justice and the links between them. You will gain in-depth knowledge and interactively discuss questions such as:

  • How do nuclear weapons and climate change affect society and peace
  • What role does nuclear disarmament play for a fairer world?
  • What can you do yourself to initiate change?

The seminar is therefore a great opportunity for anyone up to their mid-30s to learn more about nuclear disarmament in the climate crisis and to get to know ICAN! And, of course, we will also show you how you can get involved with us beyond the seminar.

Why should you take part?

  • You will gain knowledge from international experts and the chance to debate with them.
  • You will develop your own ideas and discuss how we can become politically active together.
  • You will network with young, committed people who are working for a fairer and more peaceful future.
  • You will become part of a movement that campaigns for nuclear justice and climate justice.

Who is it for?

The workshop is primarily aimed at students, trainees and young people up to the age of 35 who are interested in topics such as peace, disarmament and climate protection.

When and where?

The workshop will take place on November 30 and December 1 in Berlin - the exact program will be announced shortly.

How much does it cost?

Thanks to a grant, we can offer participation for a small contribution of €20. If required, we can pay a travel allowance of 50€. If you would like to take advantage of this, please indicate this on the form.
