Hildegard Knef, a remarkable artist, would have celebrated her 100th birthday on December 28, 2025. She possessed numerous talents and an unshakeable will that enabled her to constantly reinvent herself after defeats, separations, illnesses and bankruptcies. With her unique voice and haunting lyrics, she became a legend. As an actress, singer and feminist, she broke with norms and went her own way. Her brashness and cleverness made her a fascinating personality.
