„Ich will“: Partizipative Performance mit Andrea Geyer im Rahmen der Langen Nacht der Museen 2024

In the participatory performance "I want", artist Andrea Geyer and performers invite visitors to articulate their immediate wishes, needs and demands for a museum in general and the Gropius Bau in particular

Andrea Geyer's Manifesto project deals with the idea that a museum is shaped by many people: Artists, staff and visitors who shape this place anew every day. The work questions existing hierarchies within museum culture and invites visitors to rethink their own needs and desires in relation to institutions such as the Gropius Bau. How would they like to see themselves, their bodies, their views, ideas and experiences when they move around in this institution? What are experiences that can only be had in the context of a museum? What do they need from a museum today?

Andrea Geyer is a German-born artist who now lives and works in New York. She has exhibited her work internationally and is represented by Galerie Thomas Zander, Cologne, and Hales Gallery, New York.
