With songs about toxic masculinity, a world in turmoil and some of the brightest tunes of their career so far, IL CIVETTO have once again completely reinvented themselves. With guests such as Frank Dellé from Seeed, the result is "Liebe auf Eis", the wonderfully intoxicating new IL CIVETTO album, which is also the Berlin pop band's most personal and haunting work.

Among other things, this new, fourth album by IL CIVETTO is about finding a place and love in a world that is becoming increasingly dark and, above all, about the question of how to find confidence in this gloom without completely surrendering to hedonism. In this respect, "Liebe auf Eis" is the pop of a generation that has been cheated of its future by its elders, but is not willing to give it up without a fight. Fridays-for-future pop, if you like, music that is all about love, hope and solidarity as well as radiant melodies that simply make you happy.

Il Civetto have always been musically multifaceted, exciting and captivating. Now they put their hearts on the table. "Love on Ice" is the soundtrack to dancing on the volcano, on the edge of the crater. Just speed up the beat a little and hook into your neighbor, then you won't fall.

The unusual drum set of cajon, djembe and snare drum combines African, South American and European styles, while bossa rhythms and offbeat guitar provide plenty of groove.
