Serbian guitarist Ilija Tošić from Cologne presents a multi-faceted program that impressively showcases the stylistic diversity of the guitar.
From baroque elegance and late-romantic expressiveness to modern soundscapes and folkloristic influences from the Balkans and Latin American rhythms, the concert spans a wide musical arc full of contrasts.
About Ilyja Tosiç:
Tosiç began playing the guitar at the age of 10. He studied classical guitar, first in Belgrade, then in Germany at the Koblenz International Guitar Academy. He continued his studies at the Cologne University of Music and Dance and received a scholarship from Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now e.V.
His repertoire ranges from baroque music to contemporary music and world music, which demonstrates his versatility as a guitarist. Tošić performs internationally both as a soloist and chamber musician and collaborates with various instrumentalists and ensembles.
Tošić's debut CD entitled "Recital - A Depiction of the 20th Century" was released in June 2024, from which he will perform several pieces for us.
