The Greifswald author Sonja Daemen presents her newly published text and photo book Im Grenzland. Snapshots from the Oder region.

In short, autobiographically inspired episodes, she reports on events in the German-Polish border region in the period from 1978 to after the turn of the millennium. They are snapshots in words and pictures. The spectrum of topics ranges from life in the GDR, encounters with Polish neighbors and the Soviet "brother nation" to the break in the social and value system at the beginning of the 1990s and the flood of the century on the Oder.
