A captivating road movie tale about a teacher from Hamburg who takes a daring trip to Turkey to meet the woman of his dreams.

Carefree Juli has her eye on Daniel, a trainee teacher from Hanburg, and persuades him to come to a party where he is supposed to meet the woman of his life. Of course she means herself, but by the time Juli arrives, Daniel has already started a fling with Turkish girl Melek. The next day, he sets off for Istanbul to see her again. Along for the ride: Juli.
Trainee teacher Daniel is one of Hamburg's bourgeoisest inhabitants. Nevertheless, the funky jewelry saleswoman Juli falls in love with him. However, her advances fail and Daniel promptly falls in love with someone else: Melek, a young Turkish woman passing through on her way to Istanbul. Blinded by love, Daniel decides to follow her. He picks up a hitchhiker at the freeway feeder road. It's Juli, who wants to flee to the south out of lovesickness. A wild odyssey through south-eastern Europe begins and turns out to be a journey into a new life...
