Icon. Role model. Inspiration. From the beginning of her career in the 80s to the present day, Madonna has moved between material girl and feminist freedom fighter with incomparable strength. She explodes the tightly knit notions of femininity with her unique appearance, reinventing herself with every song, only to remind us that no one can dictate how she should be. Transformation as a process of liberation, as empowerment. She sings "Express yourself" to us and we follow her call. The ensemble led by director Anne Sophie Domenz and musician Maartje Teussink follows in the footsteps of the Queen of Pop and dedicates an evening full of power and music to her.
