Insight into the collection I
In the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart, which opened in 2005, a total of 4000 m² of exhibition space is available on two floors for the presentation of the city's collection. Nevertheless, only a small fraction of the collection of around 15,000 works of art can be shown. On our tour, we take a look at two very special positions in contemporary art, namely art made from perishable materials such as spices and vegetables, wax and soap, as well as art that prefers the word, the pure concept, to the illustrative image for the embodiment of an artistic statement.
