Everything you always wanted to know about the accordion.

At the "Accordion Info Day", offered by the Accordion Orchestra Königswinter, you can find out, listen and even play along. Come along and experience the diversity of the accordion! Suitable for all age groups.

We offer talks about the instrument, an open rehearsal of the orchestra, where visitors are welcome to play along with the orchestra, as well as a short sample from the repertoire. If you have your own accordion, you are welcome to bring it along. There will also be instruments available to try out. There will also be a look at the inner workings of an accordion.

The event is organized by the Königswinter Accordion Orchestra. The orchestra, under the direction of Stefan Dörrenbächer, performs works from different eras and styles. Original music, i.e. music written for accordion orchestra, is always included. The instrument's diverse possibilities spur us on to keep trying out new things. We enjoy playing together with choirs and other instruments such as clarinet, organ or guitar.
